The section defines the Regular Space Force and lists its members.
(a) In general. The Regular Space Force is the part of the Space Force whose members are legally expected to serve continuously on active duty* in peace and war, plus retired Regular Space Force members. (b) Composition. It includes (1) Regular Space Force officers and enlisted members; and (2) retired Regular Space Force officers and enlisted members.
The Regular Space Force is the component of the Space Force that consists of persons whose continuous service on active duty* in both peace and war is contemplated by law, and of retired members of the Regular Space Force.
The Regular Space Force includes—
the officers and enlisted members of the Regular Space Force; and
the retired officers and enlisted members of the Regular Space Force.
