This law requires the Secretary to collect and publish statistics about the cotton industry. That includes how much cotton is ginned, used by mills, stored, and traded internationally.
The Secretary shall collect and publish statistics concerning the—
amount of cotton ginned;
quantity of raw cotton consumed in manufacturing establishments of every character;
quantity of baled cotton on hand;
number of active consuming cotton spindles;
number of active spindle hours; and
quantity of cotton imported and exported, with the country of origin and destination.
