15 U.S.C. § 1506 — Additional Assistant Secretary; appointment; applicability of section 1505

This section requires one additional Assistant Secretary of Commerce beginning July 2, 1954. It provides that the President appoints that officer with the Senate's advice and consent and that section 1505 applies.
On and after July 2, 1954, the Department of Commerce must have one additional Assistant Secretary of Commerce, in addition to the Assistant Secretaries already provided for by law. The President appoints this Assistant Secretary with the Senate's advice and consent. In every respect, this Assistant Secretary is subject to section 1505 of this title, which concerns Assistant Secretaries of Commerce.
There shall be on and after July 2, 1954 in the Department of Commerce, in addition to the Assistant Secretaries now provided for by law, one additional Assistant Secretary of Commerce, who shall be appointed by the President by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, and who shall be subject in all respects to the provisions of section 1505 of this title, relating to Assistant Secretaries of Commerce.
