15 U.S.C. § 2432 — Internal review

Each department, agency, and independent establishment of the Federal Government, working with the “Center^*,” must study and review how its statutory authority, policies, and regulations are issued and carried out. This section does not define “Center.” Each department, agency, and establishment must identify the statutes, policies, and regulations that harm productivity growth in the public or private sectors of the United States, or that obstruct the efficient functioning of the Nation’s economy. It must recommend alternative statutes, policies, and regulations to the President and Congress or, when appropriate, implement those alternatives itself. The alternatives must help achieve the purposes of this chapter. This section does not define “statutory authority,” “productivity growth,” “public” or “private sectors,” “efficient functioning,” “Nation’s economy,” or “purposes of this chapter.”
