16 U.S.C. § 402e — Application of Federal Power Act

This section keeps a different federal law from applying to the park. The Federal Power Act normally governs hydroelectric power projects on many federal lands and waters. This section says that Act does not apply to any land that was part of Bryce Canyon National Park as of June 13, 1930. It also says the Federal Power Act does not apply to any additional land later added to the park under the authority described in section 402d of this title. In short, the whole park — both its original area and any later additions under 402d — is placed outside the reach of the Federal Power Act.
