The Federal Power Act does not apply to the land that makes up Carlsbad Caverns National Park. This is true whether the land was already part of the park or is added to it later.
This section exempts Carlsbad Caverns National Park's land from the Federal Power Act.
The Federal Power Act's rules do not apply to, or reach over, the land described in section 407 — or any land later reserved and dedicated as part of Carlsbad Caverns National Park.
The provisions of the Federal Power Act [16 U.S.C. 791a et seq.] shall not apply to or extend over the land by section 407 of this title or hereafter reserved and dedicated as the Carlsbad Caverns National Park.
