16 U.S.C. § 410z–2 — Boston National Historical Park Advisory Commission

(a) Establishment; membership: This section creates a Boston National Historical Park Advisory Commission, whose members are appointed by the Secretary: (1) three members from nominees the Governor of Massachusetts submits; (2) three members from nominees the mayor of Boston submits; and (3) one member representing each property owner with whom the Secretary has signed a cooperative agreement under section 410z–1, from nominees that owner submits. (b) Termination: The Commission ends ten years after the Boston National Historical Park is established. (c) Vacancies; chairman: A vacancy doesn't affect the Commission's powers and is filled the same way as the original appointment, for the rest of the unexpired term. The Secretary designates the Chairman. (d) Majority rule: The Commission acts and advises by a majority vote of its members. (e) Consultation: The Secretary, or a designee, must consult with the Commission on matters relating to the park's development at least twice a year. (f) Compensation; expenses: Members serve without pay, but the Secretary may pay the Commission's reasonable expenses, on vouchers signed by the Chairman.
