This section addresses aggregate gross compensation of employee of senator of state with population under 5,000,000. It sets the rules and duties stated in the section.
(a) Despite section 4575(d)(1), and except as that subsection’s subparagraph (C) provides, the total gross compensation paid during a fiscal year to employees in a Senator’s office may not exceed $1,012,083 if the Senator’s State has fewer than 5,000,000 people. (b) This subsection took effect October 1, 1991.
Notwithstanding the provisions of section 4575(d)(1) of this title, and except as otherwise provided in subparagraph (C) of such subsection (d)(1), the aggregate of gross compensation paid employees in the office of a Senator shall not exceed during each fiscal year $1,012,083 if the population of his State is less than 5,000,000.
Subsection (a) shall take effect October 1, 1991.
