2 U.S.C. § 5521 — Compensation of Chaplain of House

This section limits the Chaplain of the House’s maximum yearly gross compensation. The limit is the greater of $173,900 or the applicable rate set under the Speaker’s authority.
The Chaplain of the House of Representatives may receive no more than the greater of $173,900 per year or the pay rate currently in effect for that position under an order issued by the Speaker under section 4532 of this title.
The maximum per year gross rate of compensation of the Chaplain of the House of Representatives shall not exceed the greater of $173,900 or the rate of pay in effect for such position under an order issued by the Speaker of the House of Representatives pursuant to the authority of section 4532 of this title.
