submitted 60 years ago by Pub. L. 89-715 to r/title-25-INDIANS · 44 words · no verdicts yet
This law limits what the Secretary of the Interior can approve in reservation leases. The Secretary can't approve a lease that would prevent or delay ending federal trust responsibility over the land. This applies to leases made under sections 416 to 416j of this title.
The Secretary* of the Interior shall approve no lease pursuant to sections 416 to 416j of this title that contains any provision that will prevent or delay a termination of Federal trust responsibilities with respect to the land during the term of the lease.
