The President is asked to proclaim National Grandparents Day each year. It falls on the first Sunday in September after Labor Day. The proclamation would call on people to observe it with ceremonies and activities.
The President is requested to issue each year a proclamation—
designating the first Sunday in September after Labor Day as National Grandparents Day; and
calling on the people of the United States and interested groups and organizations to observe National Grandparents Day with appropriate ceremonies and activities.
