36 U.S.C. § 151307 — Provision and acceptance of support by Administrator

(a) Provision by Administrator. The Administrator of the United States Fire Administration, part of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, may give the corporation staff, office space, and other administrative help. The Administrator may require the corporation to pay back the cost of that help, and may accept that repayment. Any money paid back goes into the Treasury, credited to the government account that covered the cost of providing the help. No matter what other law says, federal employees and federal stationery cannot be used to ask people for money for the corporation. (b) Acceptance by Administrator. The Administrator can accept volunteer work from the corporation and its directors, officers, and employees to help carry out functions allowed under this chapter. This volunteer work does not have to follow the usual federal rules in chapters 33 and 51, and subchapter III of chapter 53, of title 5, or related regulations. The Administration does not pay the volunteers for this work.
