36 U.S.C. § 152407 — Provision and acceptance of support by Librarian of Congress

(a) Provision by Librarian — The Librarian of Congress can give the corporation personnel, facilities, and other administrative services. This can include covering directors' reimbursed expenses under section 152403(f). The corporation must pay the Librarian back for this support. That repaid money goes into the Treasury, credited to whichever appropriation currently covers the cost of providing that support. (b) Acceptance by Librarian — The Librarian can accept help from the corporation and its directors, officers, and employees as volunteers, without paying them from the Library of Congress's funds. The Librarian can do this without following certain title 5 rules — chapters 33 and 51, part of chapter 53, and related regulations — as long as the volunteer work carries out functions this chapter allows.
