36 U.S.C. § 151707 — Provision and acceptance of support by Librarian of Congress

(a) Provision by Librarian. (1) The Librarian of Congress may give the corporation staff, office space, and other administrative help. This help can include paying back directors' expenses under section 151703(f) of this title, but not at a rate higher than the government's standard daily allowance. (2) The corporation must pay the Librarian back for this help. That repayment goes into the Treasury, credited to the government account that covered the cost. (b) Acceptance by Librarian. The Librarian can accept volunteer work from the corporation and its directors, officers, and employees, to help with functions allowed under this chapter. This does not have to follow the usual federal rules in chapters 33 and 51, and subchapter III of chapter 53, of title 5, or related regulations. The Library of Congress does not pay these volunteers.
