The American GI Forum's board of directors and officers, along with how they're chosen, follow its own bylaws and articles of incorporation. But directors and officers cannot be picked in a discriminatory way.
(a) Board of Directors: The board and its duties come from the bylaws and articles of incorporation.
(b) Officers: The officers, and how they are elected, also come from the bylaws and articles of incorporation.
(c) Nondiscrimination: The corporation cannot discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, age, or national origin when choosing a director or officer.
The board of directors and the responsibilities of the board are as provided in the bylaws and articles of incorporation.
The officers and the election of officers are as provided in the bylaws and articles of incorporation.
The requirements for serving as a director or officer may not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, disability, age, or national origin.
