42 U.S.C. § 15101 — Authorization of appropriations

(a) In general: Congress may appropriate whatever money is needed to carry out this subchapter for fiscal years 2001 through 2007. (b) Reservation: (1) In general: Each year, the Secretary must set aside 10 percent of the money appropriated under subsection (a), or $400,000 — whichever amount is bigger. That reserved money pays for: (A) section 15098's technical assistance and information work, and (B) section 15099's evaluations. (2) Special rule: For any year the appropriation under subsection (a) is $10,000,000 or more, the Secretary may also set aside 5 percent of that amount to pay for section 15100's projects of national significance.
