42 U.S.C. § 17033 — Biofuels and biorefinery information center

(a) In general. The Secretary, working with the Secretary of Agriculture, must set up a biofuels and biorefinery information center sharing information on: (1) renewable fuel feedstocks and what fuels they can make; (2) biorefinery processing techniques for different feedstocks; (3) the distribution, blending, storage, and retail systems needed to move and use renewable fuels; (4) federal and state laws and incentives for renewable fuel; (5) renewable fuel research advances; (6) renewable fuel production processes and technologies; (7) renewable fuel resources, including programs and incentives; (8) renewable fuel producers; (9) renewable fuel users; and (10) potential renewable fuel users. (b) Administration. In running the center, the Secretary must: (1) keep its information updated; (2) share information on renewable fuel production processes and technologies; (3) tell interested people how to set up a biorefinery; and (4) offer the center's information and help through a toll-free phone number and a website. (c) Coordination and nonduplication. As much as practical, the Secretary must coordinate this section's work with similar centers at other government agencies, and avoid repeating their efforts. (d) Authorization of appropriations. Congress authorized whatever money is needed to run this section.
