42 U.S.C. § 285e–7 — Clearinghouse on Alzheimer’s Disease

(a) Establishment; purpose; duties: The Director of the Institute must set up the Clearinghouse on Alzheimer's Disease (the "Clearinghouse"), to share information about services available to people with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, and their families. The Clearinghouse must (1) gather, archive, and share information on research, demonstration, evaluation, and training programs and projects on Alzheimer's disease and related dementias; and (2) publish a yearly summary of that information, and make it available to appropriate people and groups, including schools, research groups, and federal and public agencies. (b) Fee for information: The Clearinghouse may charge a reasonable fee for information given through its toll-free phone line. (c) Summaries of research findings from other agencies: The Directors of the Institute, the National Institute of Mental Health, and the National Center for Health Services Research and Health Care Technology Assessment must give the Clearinghouse summaries of research findings from research done under part D.
