This law authorizes money for two purposes. It funds grants under section 300e–16 for 1982 through 1984, and it funds a loan fund's default costs for 1987 through 1989.

(a) Congress may appropriate $1,000,000 for grants under section 300e–16 for each of fiscal years 1982, 1983, and 1984. (b) Congress may also appropriate whatever amount is needed for fiscal years 1987, 1988, and 1989 to cover the loan fund created in section 300e–7(e). This money pays for loan defaults and the fund's other obligations.
