42 U.S.C. § 8233 — Weatherization study

This section is one undivided provision with a numbered list. The President must conduct a study that tracks weatherization activities — both the ones authorized and funded by this Act and its amendments, and weatherization activities done independently of this Act. Within one year of November 9, 1978, and every year after that, the President must report to Congress on three things: (1) how much progress weatherization activities are making toward national energy conservation goals; (2) whether the materials needed for weatherization are adequate and what they cost; and (3) whether it would be worthwhile to change the weatherization activities authorized by this Act and its amendments, and whether to expand those activities to reach more income groups than are currently helped under this Act and its amendments.
