Congress authorized specified maximum amounts for the Secretary of Commerce to use through the Administrator for this chapter, covering fiscal years 1981 through 1987.
Congress may appropriate to the Secretary* of Commerce, for the Administrator’s use in carrying out this chapter, no more than $3,000,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1981; $3,500,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1982; $3,500,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1983; $480,000 for each fiscal year ending September 30, 1984 and September 30, 1985; and $630,000 for each fiscal year ending September 30, 1986 and September 30, 1987.
There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary* of Commerce, for the use of the Administrator* in carrying out the provisions of this chapter, not to exceed $3,000,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1981, not to exceed $3,500,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1982, not to exceed $3,500,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1983, not to exceed $480,000 for each of the fiscal years ending September 30, 1984 and September 30, 1985, and not to exceed $630,000 for each of the fiscal years ending September 30, 1986 and September 30, 1987.
