The Secretary of Transportation may run demonstration projects under this chapter. These projects must support research and development activities the Secretary believes this chapter requires.
The Secretary of Transportation may carry out demonstration projects under this chapter. The Secretary may only do this for projects the Secretary considers necessary for the research and development work this chapter covers.
The Secretary of Transportation may carry out under this chapter demonstration projects that the Secretary considers necessary for research and development activities under this chapter.
