This section does not weaken agency Chief Information Officers' authority over information resources. That authority still comes from two other federal laws.
Nothing in this subchapter can be read to shrink the authority that agency* Chief Information Officers already have. That authority covers managing information resources under section 11315 of title 40, and managing information resources to fulfill agency missions under section 3502 of title 44.
Nothing in this subchapter may be construed to diminish or reduce the authority of agency* Chief Information Officers for information resources management provided in section 11315 of title 40 or those authorities to manage information resources to accomplish agency missions as established in section 3502 of title 44.
