The Secretary can regularly evaluate the Park Service's interpretation and education programs. These reviews check that programs adapt to how people learn, serve people of different backgrounds and abilities, use new technology well, and reflect current research.
The Secretary* may set up a program to regularly evaluate interpretation* and education* programs. This evaluation checks that the programs:
(1) adjust to how people learn about and connect with the natural world and shared heritage found in the System*;
(2) reflect people's different cultural backgrounds, ages, education levels, gender, abilities, ethnicity, and needs;
(3) show innovative management approaches and properly use new learning and communication technology as it emerges; and
(4) reflect current scientific and academic research, content, methods, and analysis of who the audience is.
The Secretary* may undertake a program of regular evaluation of interpretation* and education* programs to ensure that they—
adjust to how people learn and engage with the natural world and shared heritage as embodied in the System*;
reflect different cultural backgrounds, ages, education, gender, abilities, ethnicity, and needs;
demonstrate innovative approaches to management and appropriately incorporate emerging learning and communications technology; and
reflect current scientific and academic research, content, methods, and audience analysis.
