This section directs the Secretary to make photo mats for publishers. The Secretary must prepare photo mats of interesting System unit scenery for reproduction. These mats go free to magazine, newspaper, and other publishers, following Secretary-set rules.
The Secretary* must prepare mats that can be used to reproduce photographs in magazines and newspapers. Those photos must show scenery in a System unit* that the Secretary believes would interest people in the United States and other countries. The Secretary can give these mats, free of charge, to publishers of magazines, newspapers, and other publications that print photo reproductions. This is done under rules the Secretary may set.
The Secretary* shall prepare mats that may be used for the reproduction in magazines and newspapers of photographs of scenery in a System unit* that, in the opinion of the Secretary, would be of interest to the people of the United States and foreign nations. The mats may be furnished, without charge and under regulations the Secretary may prescribe, to the publishers of magazines, newspapers, and any other publications that may carry photographic reproductions.
