At least every four years, the Secretary must review threats to historic property, working with the Council and State Historic Preservation Officers. The review must identify at-risk property, find the causes, and send action recommendations to the President and Congress.
At least every four years, the Secretary* must review the major threats facing historic property*. The Secretary does this together with the Advisory Council* on Historic Preservation* and the State* Historic Preservation* Officers. The review must (1) figure out what kinds of historic property are at risk, (2) find out what is causing the threats, and (3) come up with recommendations for what to do about it, and send those recommendations to the President and Congress.
At least once every 4 years, the Secretary*, in consultation with the Council* and with State* Historic Preservation* Officers, shall review significant threats to historic property* to—
determine the kinds of historic property that may be threatened;
ascertain the causes of the threats; and
develop and submit to the President and Congress recommendations for appropriate action.
