The Center can accept donations from private groups and money transferred from other federal agencies. It can also make contracts and agreements with governments, universities, and other public groups. Its funding must be extra money, on top of what existing Park Service programs already had as of October 30, 1992.
(a) Acceptance of Grants and Transfers. The Center* may accept (1) grants and donations from private individuals, groups, organizations, corporations, foundations, and other entities, and (2) transfers of funds from other federal agencies.
(b) Contracts and Cooperative Agreements. If money has been appropriated for it, the Center may enter into contracts and cooperative agreements with federal, state*, local, and tribal governments, Native Hawaiian* organizations, educational institutions, and other public entities to carry out its responsibilities under this chapter.
(c) Additional Funds. Money appropriated for the Center must be extra funding, added on top of whatever was already appropriated for National Park Service* programs, centers, and offices that existed as of October 30, 1992.
The Center* may accept—
grants and donations from private individuals, groups, organizations, corporations, foundations, and other entities; and
transfers of funds from other Federal agencies.
Subject to appropriations, the Center may enter into contracts and cooperative agreements with Federal, State*, local, and tribal governments, Native Hawaiian* organizations, educational institutions, and other public entities to carry out the Center’s responsibilities under this chapter.
Funds appropriated for the Center shall be in addition to funds appropriated for Service* programs, centers, and offices in existence on October 30, 1992.
