10 U.S.C. § 444 — Support from Central Intelligence Agency

(a) Support Authorized -- The Director of the Central Intelligence Agency may give support to the Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency under this section, and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's Director may accept it. (b) Administrative and Contract Services (1) To help the national intelligence effort, the CIA Director may give the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency administrative and contract services, treating it as if it were part of the CIA. (2) These services can include the services of security police. If an installation of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency gets security police services this way, it's treated as a CIA installation for purposes of section 15 of the Central Intelligence Agency Act of 1949 (50 U.S.C. 3515). (3) The Secretary of Defense and the CIA Director must agree on the terms and conditions for this support. (c) Detail of Personnel -- The CIA Director may send CIA staff to work at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency indefinitely, without the usual limits on how long interagency staff details can last. (d) Reimbursable or Nonreimbursable Support -- Support under this section can be given and accepted either with payment or for free. (e) Authority To Transfer Funds (1) The Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency may send that agency's funds to the CIA Director for the CIA's use. (2) The CIA Director may accept those transferred funds, and must spend them -- following the Central Intelligence Agency Act of 1949 (50 U.S.C. 3501 and following) -- to provide administrative and contract services or to detail personnel to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency under this section.
