An officer in the naval service can become a naval flight officer. The officer must first complete the required naval flight officer course.
This section is one undivided provision. Any officer* of the naval service can be given the designation of naval flight officer. To earn that designation, the officer must first successfully complete the course of instruction that is prescribed (set) for naval flight officers.
Any officer* of the naval service may be designated a naval flight officer if he has successfully completed the course prescribed for naval flight officers.
