The corporation exists only for charitable and educational purposes, including supporting disabled veterans, working with public and private agencies, educating the public and veterans, and encouraging understanding against future wars.
The corporation is organized only for charitable and educational purposes, including: (1) upholding the Constitution and United States laws; (2) realizing the American ideals and aims for which eligible members fought; (3) advancing the interests and improving the lives of wounded, injured, and disabled American veterans; (4) cooperating with the Department of Veterans Affairs and other public and private agencies that improve wounded, injured, and disabled veterans’ condition, health, and interests; (5) encouraging mutual devotion, helpfulness, and fellowship among those veterans; (6) serving comrades, communities, and the country; (7) teaching the public about disabled veterans’ sacrifices and needs; (8) teaching disabled veterans about available benefits and resources; and (9) encouraging in everyone an understanding that helps prevent future wars.
The corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. The purposes of the corporation shall include—
to uphold and maintain the Constitution and laws of the United States;
to realize the true American ideals and aims for which those eligible to membership fought;
to advance the interests, and work for the betterment, of all wounded, injured, and disabled American veterans;
to cooperate with the Department of Veterans Affairs and all other public and private agencies devoted to the cause of improving and advancing the condition, health, and interests of all wounded, injured, and disabled veterans;
to stimulate a feeling of mutual devotion, helpfulness, and comradeship among all wounded, injured, and disabled veterans;
to serve our comrades, our communities, and our country;
to educate the public about the sacrifices and needs of disabled veterans;
to educate disabled veterans about the benefits and resources available to them; and
to encourage in all people that spirit of understanding which will guard against future wars.
