The Secretary must consult with Indian tribes, Native American organizations, and affected State officers to set up procedures for apportioning grant funds to tribal programs that have taken over State Historic Preservation Officer duties under section 302702.
The Secretary* must consult with interested Indian tribes, other Native American organizations, and the affected State* Historic Preservation* Officers. Based on that consultation, the Secretary must set up and carry out procedures for applying section 302902(c)(1)(A) of this title to tribal programs that have taken over responsibilities under section 302702 of this title.
In consultation with interested Indian tribes, other Native American organizations, and affected State* Historic Preservation* Officers, the Secretary* shall establish and implement procedures for carrying out section 302902(c)(1)(A) of this title with respect to tribal programs that assume responsibilities under section 302702 of this title.
