6 U.S.C. § 124b — Comprehensive information technology network architecture

(a) Establishment. The Secretary, acting through the Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis, must establish a "comprehensive information technology network architecture" for the Office of Intelligence and Analysis. This must be consistent with the policies and procedures set up under section 485 of this title, and it must be consistent with the Department's overall enterprise architecture. Its purpose is to connect the various databases and related information technology assets used by the Office of Intelligence and Analysis and by the Department's other intelligence units, so that intelligence and other Department personnel can share information internally. (b) Comprehensive information technology network architecture defined. This section defines that term. It means an integrated framework for two things: evolving or maintaining the information technology the Office already has, and acquiring new information technology. The purpose of that framework is to meet the strategic management and information resources management goals of the Office of Intelligence and Analysis.
