10 U.S.C. § 20604 — Enlisted members: computation of years of service for voluntary retirement
submitted 3 years ago by Pub. L. 118-31 to r/title-10-ARMED-FORCES · 84 words · no verdicts yet
To figure out if an enlisted Space Force member qualifies for voluntary retirement, the government adds up all their active service in the armed forces. Time that had to be made up under a separate law doesn't count.
For the purpose of determining whether an enlisted member* of the Space Force may be retired under section 20603 of this title, the member’s years of service are computed by adding all active service in the armed forces*.
Time required to be made up under section 972(a) of this title may not be counted in computing years of service under subsection (a).
