NASA's Administrator and the NIH Director must jointly set up a working group. It coordinates biomedical research on how low gravity affects diseases. The group holds yearly symposia and reports to Congress every year.

(a) Establishment: NASA's Administrator and the Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) must jointly create a working group. Its job is to coordinate biomedical research in areas where microgravity -- the very low gravity of space -- might help scientists understand or treat diseases and other medical conditions. The group must design joint, complementary research programs in those areas.

(b) Membership: The group must have equal numbers of members from NASA and NIH. It must also include people chosen by the NIH Director from NIH's advisory councils, and people from NASA's own Advisory Council.

(c) Annual Biomedical Research Symposia: The group must organize a yearly symposium on this biomedical research, jointly sponsored by NASA and NIH.

(d) Annual Reporting Requirement: The group must report to Congress every year on its progress.
